At PNSB Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd (PIBSB), your privacy is our priority. We are fully committed to safeguarding the personal data you provide and acknowledge our responsibility to manage such information in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”).

Given the nature of our business operations, we are required to collect, use, process, and disclose relevant information through lawful means to appropriate parties for the purpose of providing professional advice, assistance, and/or quotations related to any purchase, renewal, enquiry, assistance, or claim. Your information may also be used for marketing and promotional activities, market research, analytical assessments, and customer satisfaction surveys.

References to “PIBSB”, “we”, or “our” refer to PNSB Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd, a company incorporated under the laws of Malaysia, with its business premises located at Level 17, Wisma Ehsan, BSN CUN Selangor, Persiaran Dato’ Menteri, Section 14, 40000 Shah Alam, Selangor.

The Personal Information We Collect About You

When you submit a proposal or enquiry to PIBSB, we may request certain personal information such as your full name, NRIC number, contact details (including e-mail address, postal address, and telephone number), gender, occupation, as well as other relevant information such as your account details and the types of products and/or services you subscribe to. You are not obligated to provide this information. However, choosing not to do so may limit our ability to respond to your requests or deliver specific services.

Please be informed that when you instruct us to obtain an insurance quotation, arrange coverage, or make premium payments for your insurance placement, you are deemed to have acknowledged and agreed to the terms of our Privacy and Data Protection Policy.

How is the information used?

We may use your personal data for purposes which include the following:

To assess financial, insurance gaps and insurance risks.
Carry out research on customer demographics, interests and behavior.

How and where is the information shared?

PIBSB treats all information we hold about you as strictly private and confidential. However, it may be necessary to disclose information you consider confidential to (re)insurers or other relevant parties when acting on your behalf, if we reasonably determine that such information is important for assessing the risks being covered.

PIBSB may also share aggregated statistics about site visitors and customers to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers, or other reputable third parties, and for other lawful purposes. These statistics will never contain any personally-identifying information.

Personal information will only be disclosed to companies within the PIBSB if you have opted into this service. Additionally, PIBSB may disclose personal information if required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect or defend the rights, property, or personal safety of PIBSB, the website, or its visitors. Security and Retention of Your Personal Information

PIBSB will retain your personal data in accordance with this Privacy and Data Protection Policy and/or the terms and conditions of your agreement with us, for the duration of our relationship. Your data may be kept for as long as necessary to protect the interests of PIBSB and/or its customers, to comply with legal obligations, or in accordance with PIBSB’s internal policies.

We may operate a paperless office system and/or hold documents on your behalf only in electronic or digitized format. In these circumstances, we may operate a policy of destroying any hard copy documents that come into our possession for the purposes of providing our services to you. Where this is the case, you recognize that we may only ever be able to provide to you electronic or digitized versions of any documents that we hold on your behalf. You accept that to the extent that you wish us to destroy or expunge from our systems any electronic or digitized versions of documents held on your behalf, we will not be able to destroy such documents that have become incorporated onto our hard drives or any other system onto which data is stored only for the purposes of disaster recovery.

Where is the information stored?

The personal information you provide to us via this website, email, or post may be processed by entities within the PIBSB, including affiliated companies, and outsourcing partners, whether located in or outside Malaysia. This is necessary to process your information and respond to your requests.
